Summer Doll-Myers has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kutztown University and a Master of Fine Arts Degree from Marywood University with a concentration in advertising and graphic design. Before teaching at Kutztown University, she worked in the advertising world in New York City for ten years. There she held the title of Art Director at FCB and Art Supervisor at Grey Healthcare Group. Her roster of advertising clients included Unilever, Merck, Colgate-Palmolive, Wyeth, GlaxoSmithKline, Astra Zeneca, Lumineers, and Forrest. For these various clients she conceptualized and designed integrated advertising campaigns, directed photo shoots, created logos, brand books, and other various promotional print and web based marketing materials. She continues to grow a small side business of creating customized invitations that include weddings, showers and birth announcements. In just the few short years here at KU she has taught courses in advertising, graphic design, production, typography, visual translation, digital design, portfolio and various workshops. She is very involved in Designathon, the Communication Design Department’s largest yearly event. GenShe is a conference created by her and Professor Lemon to help female alumni further their career in a male dominated environment. Her next big endeavor is to join forces with her art director husband to start-up Doll-Myers Creative LLC.

• She biked down the side of a volcano in Maui.

• Considers herself a total foodie and will talk restaurants, cuisine and chefs with you all day long.

• Has two animal loving little girls and is looking to get her first puppy soon.
