Kathy Sue Traylor
Kathy Sue Traylor was born in California and moved to Pennsylvania at the age of ten when her father took a job transfer. She is happily married and has raised two sons, has two beautiful daughters-in-law and four adorable grandchildren. She was a stay at home mom, while raising her own children and worked as an in-home child care giver for other kids. She was a volunteer teacher’s aide and was heavily involved in her sons’ after-school sports programs. She held the Treasurer and President positions with the Kutztown Football Youth Organization.
Kathy started working at Kutztown University in the Office of the Registrar in 2004. She took the position as Secretary for the Communication Design Department in 2006. In 2011 Kathy won the Kutztown University College of Visual and Performing Arts Sharadin Award for Distinguished Achievements, she was nominated by her colleagues and was awarded the Kutztown Universities Employee of the Month in May 2017. She is always willing to help her fellow co-workers, faculty and students. She truly loves what she does here at Kutztown University, and it shows in her devotion to the students. She is a great person to know in the department especially when it comes to drop and add. Often students confide in her as an on-site mentor. Her experience seeing her youngest son through 4 years at KU has made her particularly sensitive to student issues. Feel free to stop in and say hello!
